I am documentary film maker and having just buried my grandmother, I couldn’t help feeling, as many people do, just how much she would have loved seeing all her friends and family in one place celebrating her life, the amazing things she did, and the ways in which she touched the lives of so many.
Living Funerals are a relatively new idea and I would love to hear from anyone considering a living funeral.
The film would record this touching farewell for the family and friends as well as the person holding the living funeral. It would be a touching document for any family to have a permanent record, as well as an amazing insight into the slow shift in our perception of how we deal with death.
